Ever since we announced that we were going to release the Anaconda DVD and The Eye Cut, our email inboxes have been flooded with people asking tons of questions about how they can secure their copies.

We’ve compiled some of the most common questions in the FAQ below, which will be updated as we go along. =)

Check them out, and REMEMBER TO READ EVERYTHING!!

(we’ve included some little clues of what’s coming up)

-The Virts

P.S.: (We have an average of 300 new WLD ‘09 Members joining us at this event every day, and most of the invites haven’t even been sent out yet, so you can probably imagine how crammed our email inboxes are.

If you’ve written to us before, we want you to know that we try our best to reply personally. If it takes us awhile to write you back, please know that we’re working on it!)

Table of contents:

  1. Are you going to make the Anaconda DVD and The Eye Cut available for purchase? How much is it going to cost?
  2. When are you guys releasing the Anaconda DVD and The Eye Cut? For how long? And how can I make sure that I get a copy of both?
  3. What if all the copies are sold out during the 60 minutes?
  4. Can I pay you more now to get my copy first, or can I pre-order this to reserve a copy?
  5. Will the Anaconda DVD solely contain the Anaconda, or will it include other card flourishes?
  6. If I get both the Anaconda and The Eye Cut do I get a discount?
  7. Will you guys ever release this again?
  8. I am right-handed. Is the teaching right-handed or left-handed?
  9. What is the music in the Teaser and the Event Introduction video? Where can I get it?
  10. How long does it take to learn the Anaconda dribble? I’ve been filming a video for hours but the cards keep dropping on the floor.
  11. Can I learn the Anaconda off Bone’s old 60 cm Dribble video from 2002, or perhaps an old bunch of photos I saw with some accompanying text?
  12. Why are you releasing these moves?! You should keep them a secret!

1.  Are you going to make the Anaconda DVD and The Eye Cut available for purchase? How much is it going to cost?

Yup we will make them available for purchase!

We haven’t decided on a price yet, but rest assured it won’t be too expensive, though it won’t be cheap. The reason we’re pricing it that way is because they’re worth it, and they also cost us a lot to produce.

Also, there will only be a very limited number of sets printed up, because if everybody and their brother started doing the Anaconda, it wouldn’t be quite as powerful.

As of now, we’re still figuring the price out, and we promise to do our best to make it as affordable as possible.

(back to table of contents)

2.  When are you guys releasing the Anaconda DVD and The Eye Cut? For how long? And how can I make sure that I get a copy of both?

We will be releasing the Anaconda DVD and The Eye Cut on the 18th of August for 7 days. There’ll be a countdown clock up soon so look out for that! =)

As for how to secure your copy of the Anaconda DVD or Eye Cut, we’ll be putting up the Reservation List really soon!

Everybody in the Reservation List will receive a special order link 60 minutes before the official launch happens so they can snatch up their copy before the tsunami occurs.

(back to table of contents)

3.  What if all the copies are sold out during the 60 minutes?

Then this DVD might never get an “official” launch.

With 300-500 new members joining us at WLD ‘09 every day, we know that not everyone will be able to get their hands on a copy.

We really don’t want any of you guys to be mad at us if you don’t manage to grab your copy on time… so we recommend you to be one of the first 150 there when the countdown clock hits zero.

(back to table of contents)

4.  Can I pay you more now to get my copy first, or can I pre-order this to reserve a copy?

Nope! Dude, it’s not about the cash!

You can, however, join the Reservation List to make sure you get a copy. (Read above)

(back to table of contents)

5.  Will the Anaconda DVD solely contain the Anaconda, or will it include other card flourishes?

This entire event and DVD features the Anaconda, but of course, along with Virt “tradition”, Bone and us have decided to give you a few other of his favorite card flourishes in this DVD as a huge thank-you for your support during this event.

What are they? You’ll find out pretty soon. ;)

(back to table of contents)

6.  If I get both the Anaconda and The Eye Cut do I get a discount?

Yup, and from our discussions it’ll be a pretty fat discount too! (We’ll also be including some bonus stuff as well! Read: awesome tutorial)

(back to table of contents)

7.  Will you guys ever release this again?

Unfortunately… no. Once our little stash of copies run out, they’ll be gone forever.

Why?

With the Anaconda DVD and The Eye Cut, we wanted to reverse-engineer everything that took us from being an ‘average’ flourisher to someone that really stood out with a solid repertoire that no one else could copy…. and this was a perfect opportunity to do it.

The result, I’ve been told, is, without question, the most complete yet simple set of steps ever created for the Anaconda and the Eye Cut… a set of steps that are almost too simple.

Anaconda and The Eye Cut are two of Bone’s most treasured and sought-after card flourishes, and we’d rather protect their value and not turn this into a commodity-type thing.

(back to table of contents)

8.  I am right-handed. Is the teaching right-handed or left-handed?

We knew this would come up… so guess what?

The Anaconda DVD is going to be the first DVD ever that’s designed for both left and right handed card flourishers.

Two hands pop up on the screen when you pop the DVD in, allowing you to select a hand to customize your preferred teaching style. WOOT!

This has never been done before in any card flourishing DVD!

Check it out:

(back to table of contents)

9.  What is the music in the Teaser and the Event Introduction video? Where can I get it?

It’s from the Anaconda Original Soundtrack, composed by our music guy, Roland Lim.

He has composed an original score for the entire DVD, so every piece of music sounds ridiculously amazing and is perfectly timed to every movement, cut, transition and fade.

We’ve even put the Anaconda Soundtrack on our iPods because the music’s so good it keeps playing our heads all day.

Unfortunately, the music won’t be available because all 12 tracks are so awesome we wanna keep them for ourselves.

…seriously though, if you’d like to get the Anaconda Original Soundtrack, it will be available for purchase on launch day along with the Anaconda DVD and The Eye Cut. Keep on the lookout for it!

(back to table of contents)

10.  How long does it take to learn the Anaconda dribble? I’ve been filming a video for hours but the cards keep dropping on the floor.

The Anaconda takes practically forever if you don’t practice with all the right techniques in place, so we can definitely understand what you’re going through. With the right techniques, you’ll be extremely consistent with a huge Anaconda, and you’ll never have to film it for hours if you’re ever making a video.

Once you get every single element of what makes it work and put them together with some good practice, it’ll suddenly “click”.

It’s hard to explain that awesome feeling when every single detail comes together and you wake up one day being able to do a massive Anaconda… so you’ll really have to experience it for yourself. =)

With that said, although we’ve made it almost kindergarten-easy to accomplish the Anaconda with the upcoming DVD, awesome results don’t come without practice, and therefore how long it takes is completely up to how much you want to be able do it.

(back to table of contents)

11.  Can I learn the Anaconda off Bone’s old 60 cm Dribble video from 2002, or perhaps an old bunch of photos I saw with some accompanying text?

You could… if you’d like your Anaconda to look like a tree snake. ;)

The latest refinements and subtleties of the new Anaconda allow it to be way longer than before, and much easier to execute.

But don’t take our word for it, check out the photos below!

Which do you want to learn? The 60 cm dribble, or the new Anaconda?

Of course… we leave it completely up to you. =D

(back to table of contents)

12.  Why are you releasing these moves?! You should keep them a secret!

That was the plan.

However, the number of emails and real mail that Bone and us receive everyday show us that there are people out there who know inside what they want to do with powerful material like this.

They work hard, and they do their best to share with the community.

They understand the value of intricate detail and effort, and they aren’t bitter and resentful like many other people online who make the art hell for other people.

They are the people who actually want to make a difference.

And when you see such mail, it’s…. crazy… and as cheesy as it seems, it’s sometimes heart-wrenching.

This is for the people who want to delve deep into the details of a move that has changed the way a person can impact any audience or a spectator, and this is truly the first and the last time we’ll be making this available.

We really don’t want to go on and on about how great it is.

There’s only so far we can go without being self-praising and hypey…. so you either want it, or you don’t.

(back to table of contents)

That’s it for now… so if you’d like to snatch up a copy of the Anaconda DVD on time, do remember to join the Reservation List which will be up soon!

    Hey Virts.

Will the DVD/’s be released and be sold from the US, or will you have outlets for other countries, so customers can get their copies without worry of import duties?

Also, as I am away for a week and the DVD is being released in the middle of that week, am I to assume that I will not be likely to get a copy when I return home, dispite the seven days stretching beyond the time that I get back?

    Many thanks,

    -David

  6. Young_Buzz says:

I wanna ask you a question ’bout The Crazy Ones Competition. The soundtrack for the video only lasts one minute.Otherwise, my clip is about 2 minutes. So, can I play the soundtrack twice or can I play another song after your soundtrack in my clip.Is it acceptable?

  7. Alex says:

So if I reserve it, I am still not guaranteed to get it…. But anyways, great plan, saves you from dealing with piracy all together.

How come none have you have scrobbled the soundtrack?

  15. Arnaud says:

Can’t wait for the reservation list hehe!

  16. Fancardini says:

    Greetings from Spain,
DVD shall be packaged in a safe manner. I have oftenly received scratched DVDs due to poor packaging safetiness resulting in disc damaged or scratched while sliding inside the case during transportation or handling. Therefore DVD shall be firmly attached inside its case.
    Thank you, very much

  17. KingOfNynex2003 says:

I’m planning on buying both of the DVD’s when they come out and I just have to get them but I’d like to know how much I’ll be looking at spending because atm I only have just under $100 Canadian and I’m planning on buying some other stuff from different websites as well so could somebody tell me what I’ll be looking at to buy it that would be great.

    Sincerely,

    KingOfNynex2003

  18. Sahil says:

im kinda worried about not getting this DVD. like, i want to know what time and what date and stuff the reservation list is going up, and what time does the 60 inutes start? like, exact dates and times would be really really appreciated. could you also tell us what time zone your in if you tell us a time. like, if you say 6 pm, but im like, on the other hafl of the world, ill totally miss it. it would be really appreciated, thanks.
    -Sahil

  19. Magic says:

What is the max number of people in your reservation list? How many DVDs will be produced?

  20. Tom Stevens says:

Alright everyone I have asked this in email so i thought I would share.

    So im doing the math.

$72,000 production(the cost it took to make the actual movie) and if you record only 500 DVD’s then you will be charging an amount no less then $148, as that would be the amount you would need to break even.

    72,000 divided by 500 = $148

If you print 1000 DVD’s the price would drop to $72 a peice.
    1000 / 72,000 = $72

I found out from response from Huron that the price tag for purchasing both the eye cut and anaconda dvd together will be no more $200. As $200 is quite alot of money for most people, especially for a movie. But remember this is a SECRET film, so if the price tag is to steep then maybe you shouldn’t learn this secret.

Remember the film comes out August 18th, and sometime before that there is a reservation list. It all depends how many movies they print because they atleast need to break even, why should they waste there time and money and not even break even. If anything they should earn alittle bit of money for there time. The more movies they print, the cheaper it is. The less movies they print, the more secret it is but the higher the price tag. Really its up to them, if you want them to print more maybe you should ask them. Personally I do not care either way, I know the DVD will be worth it, and they are really good teachers.

    Thank you Bone and Huron!

  21. The 47 says:

THIS IS THE MOST POWERFUL FLOURISHES DVD EVER CREATED!

  22. Matthias says:

    I’ve got another question here:
will there be a DVD for purchase afterthis limitid version is sold out but without the Anaconda and other moves too powerfull to be shared by the whole world??

  23. Atreticus says:

Here’s just a tiny question here. I guess. Since, most of the major issues were covered already…

If let’s say someone’s from Singapore, would they have to pay the shipping and stuff, or would it just be like post and all that?

And would the timing of the release be like staggered throughout the globe, or just more like a universal one-time release, i.e simultaneous release?

    Just 2 short quick questions.
    Thanks.

Wonderful and brilliant amazing work, Virts! Keep it up! =P
    Peace out.

  24. Jim Gallacher says:

    Hi!
I live in the UK and I’m really excited about buying your Anaconda & Eye Cut DVD’s.
I have never bought anything from an American site before and I am not sure if it is possable to use a British card to make a purchase in another currency.
Could you tell me if I will be able to pay in Pounds.

    Thanks

    • Yurgen says:

      Hi,
They say that Merchant of Magic is one of the partners.
You should be able to buy a copy there. That’s what i beleive.

      • The Virts says:

        Hi Yurgen!
We’re supported by the Merchant of Magic… and they have invited their customers over to this event. However, they are not distributing the DVD. =) It will be available exclusively at WLD ‘09.

        Huron Low, The Virts

    • The Virts says:

      Hi Jim!
Yes you can most definitely use British Pounds to make your purchase.
Payment for the DVD is by credit card. =)

      Huron Low, The Virts

  25. Talwinder says:

whats the price going to be?? What time will it be in hong kong when the sixty mins start? because i live in hong kong.

  26. mohan kodange says:

I live in Nashik, a small city in India. Will I be able to buy the dvd before its sold ouy ? I think the demand will be a 100 times more than the stocks available. will it be available again after the limited edition is sold out ? I can kill for it.

  27. Ryan says:

I know that the Anaconda DVD will be released on the 18th August, but will there be an official time so you know when to expect your email from the reservation list???

    Thanks a lot

    -Ryan

  28. Talwinder says:

we are really waiting for tht countdown clock, when are u guyz putting it up? because i don’t want to miss the only chance to get this awesome dvd.

  29. chris says:

In what TIMEZONE are you guys operating, because it would be really helpful to know…since everyone is living in different countries.. if you give us your timezone then we know when the 18th of august starts for you…I live in Europe and it might be that it still is the 17th for me when the 18th starts in Singapore and I will be watching my inbox very closely just want to know when I should start checking it

    thanks

    • The Virts says:

Hey Chris! We’ll be putting up the countdown clock real soon, as well as the exact global time… as we’re currently figuring out the best global time for everybody at WLD ‘09 as we’re all in different timezones. =)

      Huron Low, The Virts

  30. Fancardini says:

“I want a good packing for Anaconda DVD. I want no dance in box for Anaconda DVD. I don´t want scratches in DVD. That occur when the disc let go from its box. I have experience … I´ve bought many dvds. We must prevent that from occuring again. We must hold it tight, don´t let it go.”

  31. Fancardini says:

“I would like a good packing for the DVD. From my large experience buying DVDs on the net, I can tell that it is frequent to find scratches on the DVD at its arrival as a consequence of it not keeping still and fit. Preventing this from happening is a must.”

    • Tom Stevens says:

Fancardini, I agree that when the movies are in the hard cases, they sometimes slip out of there fitting when its in transit which usually results in scratching the disk.

I have never received a scratch on a DVD with a plain paper sleeve. I think this would be the ideal way to ship them as I know they could come through the mail service.

It would be nice to have a hard case for it through, but it could result in scratching this rare limited edition. Which is better ;-)

  32. Simon says:

    Hi Guys,

How many copies of the two DVD’s will be released?

Or is there just one DVD?

Is there stuff from the other performers that you have associated with the Virts on the DVD’s or is it all Bone Ho and you guys?

    Thanks,

    Simon

  33. Erick says:

    Hey guys
    am sorry but
    I wanna ask u a question again!
“What about if I wanna buy the anaconda and the eye cut

you going to have different ways for the purcharse?
What I means is that if we can get it with a check or money order???
My English is not good at all but I hope you understand me and please thats my question!

    • Tom Stevens says:

Erick, im pretty sure you can goto a store and get a prepaid visa card. With this visa card you can make your purchase. Thats where you put money on a card, so you can make payments without giving out your debit card number.

Mailing money orders and checks might be a problem because I dont think they can hold your copy for you while your money is on its way, as other people will already have the money going to there account instantly, and they will be shipping it accordly.

You still have time, do some research! Good luck to you.

  43. The Virts says:

    Hey guys! Huron here. =)

The Eye Cut will be sent your way in just a few hours as we are currently uploading a vastly updated version of the tutorial. We practically re-filmed everything because we were struck with crazy inspiration and wanted you guys to have it… so I’m sorry for the extra few hours of waiting… but I promise it’ll be worth it. =)
