Would you like us to give the Anaconda DVD to you?

Absolutely free?

In fact, we’ll give you a deck that was used during production signed by all of us, as well as a tutorial to the magnificent Eye Cut. But that’s only if you’re “crazy” enough.

You see, we love “crazy” people. They’re the most awesome people around.

Watch these 2 videos and you’ll know what I mean. (You’ll definitely see some familiar faces inside.)

This is a 1997 video made by Apple. It’s one of the videos that we watch all the time to get inspiration.

Here’s a 2007 version of the video. Just as awesome, and possibly easier to relate to. =)

You see…

We love people who take charge of their lives and take action.

We love people who are willing to fail to succeed.

We love people who don’t make excuses for themselves when they set out to do something.

We love people who are “crazy” enough to dare to think differently… and end up inspiring many other people. Think about it. If Bone wasn’t “crazy” enough, he wouldn’t have managed to create the Anaconda.

So if you’d like to win:

  • The Anaconda: The World’s Longest Dribble DVD
  • The Eye Cut Tutorial
  • A Deck Signed By The Virts & Bone Ho Used During Production
  • And 2 More Awesome Prizes That We Won’t Announce Just Yet….

Here’s what you need to do:

We’d like you to make a video, with this same soundtrack behind it. Now, we understand that there are quite a number of people joining us in WLD ‘09 who are completely new to card flourishes… so here’s the weirdest part of this competition:

Your video does NOT have to contain card flourishes. It DOES however, have to contain cards.

You can do card flourishes if you want, but the main focus of the competition is how crazy and creative you are. You’ll stand a chance to win as long as your video brings across the same message as the 1997/2007 “Think Different” videos.

You see, this event isn’t just about “The World’s Longest Dribble”. It’s about a message.

It’s a message to be “crazy” and to accomplish all that you wish to…because you can.

It’s a message to “Think Different.”

So let’s all be “the crazy ones”… together.

Here’s the exact requirements for you, just so there’s zero confusion.

Requirements:

  • All footage must be either filmed or created by you.
  • Your video does NOT have to contain card flourishes.
  • It DOES however, have to contain cards.
  • Your video must start with a short introduction of yourself which include these points:
    • What’s your name and where are you from?
    • How did you find out about The Virts and/or Bone Ho?
    • Why do you want to learn the Anaconda and The Eye Cut?
  • You must also show your face in the video, at least once, NOT including the introduction.
  • Lastly, and most importantly, you must use this soundtrack in your video:
    • crazyones.mp3 (right click and ‘Save Target As’ to download)
    • To clarify: this mp3 should only be used in the main section of the video, and NOT the introduction segment!

When you’ve finished filming & editing the video, just upload it on Youtube with the title:

  • “Card Flourishes- Virtuoso: WLD09 Crazy Ones: -your name-”

…and post a link to your video in the comments section below when you’re done!

Due Dates:

  • All videos must be sent in by the 14th of August.
  • THREE “crazy” winners will be announced on the 16th of August.

That’s it! Till then, go create your crazy videos!

Huron Low, The Virts

  • P.S. If you really don’t know how to make a video, you may submit an original photograph that was taken by you, which contains cards and suits the theme of the competition. Of course, a video submission highly increases your chances of winning, though if your photograph impresses us enough you just might stand an even chance!

Epic and sickness! Can’t wait for the competition and bone’s dvd!
Keep it up guys and with the “I am the best” haha

  2. David says:

    Thrilled to the core guys.

Read the PDF, and I’m brimming with pride, not as if I’ve ever done anything for you to put me in a “father figure pride thingy” position, but just the passion you show, and the sense and reasoning with which you deliver your thoughts.

Keep this up, I’m backing you… for what it’s worth!

    -Dave

  3. Nicholas says:

cant wait for this dvd! i read the pdf, and i have more confidence, and my outlook is now positive, “I QUIT!” you guys are amazing!! “kill the noobs” opens up your eyes and after i read it, i wanted to pick up my cards and just go nuts doing flourishes! because you can only get better right!? thanks guys!!! im so excited about this event!

  4. Stein says:

    Hey guys.

Sweet stuff. Looking forward to see more of it. Good to see that someone is taking care of the art. We need it, and BAM; here you are. I’m lovin’ it.

I like the fact that I have friends like this. Truly a gift.

Keep it going. I’ll see you on the top.

  5. Jack says:

You guys are amazing! That PDF will push me as far up as I can go!

  6. Sam says:

What an awesome and inspirational read. Thanks for taking the time to writing it!

  7. Andy says:

Just curious to the “Can you share a “crazy” experience that you’ve had with The Virts and/or Bone Ho?”

Does that mean an experience with the people at Virts or just a crazy experience that we have had?

  8. Andy says:

    Ok, thanks.

  9. Andy says:

Also, could the video be like the apples ones and only contain one card clip?

  10. Drew says:

what if i dont know how2 make a video?

  11. The Virts says:

Hey Drew, we’ve made a new update to the competition.

“P.S. If you really don’t know how to make a video, you may submit an original photograph that was taken by you, which suits the theme of the competition. Of course, a video submission highly increases your chances of winning, though if your photograph impresses us enough you just might stand an even chance.”

    Huron Low, The Virts

  12. Dannel says:

does it have to be B&white?

  13. Andy says:

Also, just to clarify, we have to show our face once throughout the video? And the introduction doesn’t count.

  14. Andy says:

Sorry for asking so much >< But can we also edit the track a little, or does it have to stay the same… so no pauses in it ect…

  15. The Virts says:

    Andy, no worries. =)
The track has to stay exactly the same.

    Huron Low, The Virts

  16. Charlie says:

Can we include pictures of other magicians/flourishers or does the video have to be 100% footage filmed by us.

    • The Virts says:

Yes, the video has to be completely filmed by yourself. Otherwise, people would just submit videos of past footage of their favorite magicians and flourishers, which would admittedly make for a nice tribute, but ultimately not display any sense of ‘crazyness’ on the submitter’s part.

      -Kev, The Virts

      • John says:

Oh man that sucks for me. I spent all day making this awesome montage of all these magicians and it fit perfectly. But I guess it does make sense to show how crazy I myself am.

  17. Lukela says:

Oh man, cool, thanks BoneHo and Virts for the opportunity!

  18. Ammar says:

too bad, I couldn’t take part in it since i’m moving out this week and have to spent one week on the road before I get access into my new apartment on 18th August.. but it will be interesting to watch the video that will be posted by all participants.. Gud luck guys..

  19. Jacob says:

Enjoy :] Thank you for considering me.

  20. GT says:

I dont really understand the main theme XD, what do u mean by “Think Differently”?

    Thanks,GT

  21. giezmo says:

huron, does this mean that i can submit a picture of mine that are crazy e?

  22. Phoenix says:

I am the best!!! I can’t make a video (I have no camera) my picture is going yo be mind blowing!! I know it is!!

  23. Drac says:

Can the photograph be manipulated and adjusted or it has to be 100% original?

    • The Virts says:

Yes, the photo can be digitally altered in Photoshop or some other image editing program, as long as both the photograph and editing are both original to yourself in concept.

      -Kev, The Virts

  24. Anthony says:

could i use some of your videos for the intro? i mean like answer the questions but play the video also. kind of like a narration thing.

  25. Alex says:

Ooh, this IS exciting. I hope I can get a camera working so I can film this. Or I could take a lot of pictures and build a montage : P. Anyway, good luck everyone!

  26. Fez says:

if you want to add flourishes in this video, do they have to be original flourishes, like something i came up with

    • The Virts says:

The flourishes do not have to be original, and if they’re performed well enough and in a fashion that fits well enough with the theme, you might even have a higher chance of winning than those who submit original moves that don’t!

      -Kev, The Virts

  27. Laha says:

So…if i submit a picture does it need to have my face and all that introduction thing in it too?

    • The Virts says:

The photograph does not need to have an introduction… it just needs to be crazy (and original!) enough to impress the pants off of us ;)

      -Kev, The Virts

  28. MongteCafe says:

don’t want the introduction, I just want the main video, is it okay? because the one who take picture don’t have to introduce himself, and probably there would be peple that don’t like to introduce themselves on Youtube.

    • The Virts says:

The introduction is necessary for the video, as it gives us a chance to get to know our members better. After all, this competition isn’t just about us or Bone – it’s about you.

      -Kev, The Virts

  29. Drew says:

Feel kinda dumb askin, but wut would tha picture hav 2 be about? A flourish? Display?

    • The Virts says:

The only stipulations for the picture are that it contains cards, is created by you, and fits with the theme of the competition. You don’t even have to do a flourish in it – as long as there is the presence of cards somehow, you’re good.

      -Kev, The Virts

  30. Drew says:

2be honest, I have ALOTTA questionz, iz there like any way we kan rilly talk? cause i dont understand at ALL lol

    • The Virts says:

If you do a video you can talk during the intro, but not during the main portion of it – since that’s where the crazyones.mp3 is supposed to be used ;)

      -Kev, The Virts

  31. yang wei says:

    walao…
u all not understand the theme meh?
    just wan crazy CRAZY…
    yeah CRAZY…
i think i wan to go mental hospital to make tis video…
    yeah yeah yeah…
    CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY...

  32. jason says:

hi, i am jason. i am wondering is it possible for me to use some other music in the introduction or the end part?

    • The Virts says:

You can use any music as the soundtrack to your spoken introduction, but as stated before, the main portion of the video must use the crazyones.mp3 that we’ve provided for you.

      -Kev, The Virts

  33. Andy says:

Would love to enter, but I don’t have the lead for my vid camera, I was going to lend one but it could only be for a tiny amount of time. I was going to do a montage of vids but cant do that due to the rule of us having to shoot all the stuff our selves.

    • Jacob says:

I believe the rule was (and I would ask first) that it has to be your authentic video? Like maybe someone else can film you doing something. Hope that helps.

      • Andy says:

Yeah I was actually going to use clips non-card related though. Memorable clips.

        • Jacob says:

Hmm I don’t see why that would be a violation (as long as there are cards somewhere in the video) but again, this isn’t my competition. i think you kinda just need to be in it is how I understood it, but then again I just made sure I wasn’t bending any rules when I made my film. Ask Huron or Kev hehe

  34. The Virts says:

    @ Andy & Jacob:

Yup! The footage does have to be captured by yourself, though not all the shots need to have to do with cards – just one or more (or all, if you’re “crazy” enough!)

    -Kev, The Virts

  35. Pavel Y. says:

why there is alot of crap posts without a video?
they asked to post videos here!!

    • The Virts says:

The comments section is both for questions regarding the competition and video submissions. Basically, whenever someone posts a video link we put it on the record, and after the competition is over we will be making a new post including all the entries, and highlighting the winners – hope that clears things up a bit!

      -Kev, The Virts

  36. Dries says:

Can we make a slideshow With pictures using the mp3 file as background music ?

    Dries

  37. Fred says:

I wanna do this… I want to be crazy! =]

  38. Drauis says:

If we were to do a picture, what would HAVE to be in it? Does my face have to be in it? What about the info that is supposed to tell who you are and where you are from and stuff?

    Vince C.

    • The Virts says:

Anything can be in it as long as it has something to do with Cards and the theme of the competition which is “The Crazy Ones”.

Your face does not have to be in it, but you could put it in if you like.

      Daren, The Virts

  39. Billy says:

so this is my video. msg from video :

well, dont try too hard on certain things. slow ur steps down n take some times to look on things around u and u’ll see more. :)

    regards,
    billy.

    :)

    • The Virts says:

      Hey Billy,

Please read the requirements again for entering the competition as you MUST include them in your video or we will NOT consider it as an entry.

All the requirements for a video entry MUST be met.

Here they are again for your convenience.

“Your video must start with a short introduction of yourself which include these points:
-What’s your name and where are you from?
-How did you find out about The Virts and/or Bone Ho?
-Why do you want to learn the Anaconda and The Eye Cut?

You must also show your face in the video, at least once, NOT including the introduction.”

Your video did not include ANY of these points, so if you would like a chance to win the prizes, please re-film, or re-edit your video so that the requirements are met before submitting it again.

      Good luck. =)

      Daren, The Virts

      • Billy says:

ouch…… i guess i missed the part where ‘why do u want to learn the anaconda n the eye cut..xD

for the other parts. i guessed i did out into right? like my name n the place i from, how i find virts n bone. and there is my pic inside. ONCE. xD

  40. MongteCafe says:

I mean may I use clips from other videos (not mne) to make my video?

  41. Darraimou says:

Can there be more than one picture?
    Thanks

  42. Paul says:

So sry if its silly question i just want to be sure. It IS okay when when a friend films me, as long as the idea of whats filmed is by me.

  43. specter says:

haha it is due o my birthday

  44. Bob says:

Does the footage have to be brand new filmed specifically for this competition? What if I have footage of me doing various card things throughout my cardistry life, can I include some of those clips to show why I’m a crazy one, in addition to some new footage?

    Thanks.

    • Jacob says:

I think the only specification is that it was filmed by you to Quote Kev a few posts back-

      “As stated in the requirements,

“All footage must be either filmed or created by you.”

      -Kev, The Virts”

But I would wait for a response, just trying to help

      -Jacob

    • The Virts says:

      Hey Bob,

You may use footage you already have as long as it was filmed or created by you. However, do take note that you also need to meet the other requirements as well for us to consider it as an entry.

I’ve pasted the requirements again here for your convenience.

“All footage must be either filmed or created by you.

Your video does NOT have to contain card flourishes.

It DOES however, have to contain cards.

Your video must start with a short introduction of yourself which include these points:
-What’s your name and where are you from?
-How did you find out about The Virts and/or Bone Ho?
-Why do you want to learn the Anaconda and The Eye Cut?
-You must also show your face in the video, at least once, NOT including the introduction.

Lastly, and most importantly, you must use this soundtrack in your video:
crazyones.mp3 (right click and ‘Save Target As’ to download)

To clarify: this mp3 should only be used in the main section of the video, and NOT the introduction segment!”

      Good Luck. =)

      Daren, The Virts

  45. Darraimou says:

Hey, the reason I want to be able to put up more than one picture is because I want to show more than one side of it, also adding like an armspread or something. Is it okay if I put the pictures on deviantArt and then have the likns put here also?

    Regards,
    Vince Chu

  46. Andy H. says:

    this is my entry video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XcC6xvx-qQ

    here’s to the crazy ones.

p.s. i really can solve it

  47. Billy says:

oh ya, daren. is my face on my video counted as ONCE? XD

    • The Virts says:

While you did show your face at the end of your video, you still didn’t meet the requirements stated previously.

      Specifically, this one

“Your video must start with a short introduction of yourself which include these points:
-What’s your name and where are you from?
-How did you find out about The Virts and/or Bone Ho?
-Why do you want to learn the Anaconda and The Eye Cut?
-You must also show your face in the video, at least once, NOT including the introduction.”

Which should be filmed with you speaking, not just text on screen.
So essentially, if you replace the whole front bit of text with you talking instead, you’re set. ;)

      Daren, The Virts

  48. Jade Ferrer says:

I’ll add the picture now… here’s the link..
    http://i29.tinypic.com/as5qx.jpg

well.. i found Boneho well… at the handlordz forum… while looking for the awesome dribble that Gambit did at the trailer… which is the Anaconda… thats all

  49. Sam says:

    Hi Virts,

I was wondering if there is any way I could upload my video but possibly PM it to you as opposed to posting it here? It may sound silly, but I just don’t really want everyone seeing the video just yet (stealing ideas and things like that).

And also, can I upload the video to Vimeo?

    Thanks for your time,

    -Sam

  50. Gia-Thanh says:

@Sam : Well, i think u can but, since the virts are really busy, i think u should post it up in this comment board =), It’s more efficient and easier to look up for ur contest entry.

  54. Darraimou says:

So anyway. You guys didn’t answer my queestion about if i could have two photos. So here I am going to up two. Its showing both the bottom and the top of the display.

      Vince

      • Darraimou says:

So I have been reading everyone’s post. So I have decided that I should talk about myself like you were supposed to in the video.

My name is Vincent Chu. I am 14 years old and I live in Troy, Michigan, a small little city. I found out about Bone through the youtube after I watched some amzing card manipulation videos, I decided to look up some more and I found a video of Bone. I was simply amazed by his speed and smoothness. The virts, I actually saw a video of their reintroduction on megamedia. I was also shocked by the entire groups smoothness and speed.
I want to learn the Eye cut and the Anaconda because they are simply, the MOST unique and powerful displays I have seen yet. The eye cut with its . . . well eye and its symmetry and the Anaconda because . . . well, you guys said it, it was “The world’s longest dribble”.

        Luck to all

        Regards,
        Vince Chu

Ha, great competition… the only thing is that I’m in Taiwan and don’t have access to internet that often…
I’ll try to enter a CRAZY Submission. But if I could get the video in it’d be pretty sweet because I’m filming the video where I come from…Taiwan.

  59. John says:

So here’s the deal guys: I spent all day creating this awesome montage only to find out when I’m done that the footage can only be filmed by me so it won’t count. And what’s more, I couldn’t get the movie to save so I had to play it on Movie Maker and film it on my computer (ergo crappy quality: sorry). Anyways it still has a good message so I uploaded it. Enjoy and expect more soon.

    So here’s the deal,
A card castle relying on the 1 card as base and balance, and the 1 card is standing on the giant fan.
P.S: I glued the base of the card castle as u can see, after that, no props or anything, just pure experience.

    Thanks,GT

  61. Simon says:

    Hi Guys,

Is it ok to enter something that was filed by someone else, but it was you that set it up and you that edited it together.

Just cause I don’t have a webcam so I was gonna do it on my phone, but to do that someone else would have to film it.

    Thanks,

    Simon

  62. Tiny says:

Just to clarify, when you say by August 14th, do you mean by 11:59 PM, August 13th, or by 11:59 August 14th?

  63. The Virts says:

11:59 August 14th. Then again we’re all in different time zones, so we’ll probably set up a countdown clock. =)

  70. Young_Buzz says:

*WARNING! Crazy long post ahead! :D *

    (East Coast, USA – Represent!)

A few months ago, I was working on a short comic story about a mysterious gentleman who conducted an underground business through poker. And after watching Casino Royale, I was all for the suave Bond atmosphere, card-flipping, action-toting storyline. So I went on Youtube to start researching poker chip and card tricks for reference and inspiration. Eventually though, my search led to card flourishes, and a group called ‘The Virts’… :D (Mouth agape at first sight)

And though I haven’t been in the card flourishing circuit very long, I feel their message of hard work, attitude and self-motivation translates into any field of practice. After watching all the crazy smooth flourishes (several several, several times), I got so incredibly pumped to try them out myself that I spent most of my drawing time fumbling with cards (haha). The Anaconda represents a much higher goal that I’m striving for, even if not in this area, a level of mastery – not just doing, but making something whole and dare-devilish and giving it attitude, and always remaining in control.

This picture was drawn in tribute to the crazy ones who fascinated me so much to the point of converting me to their crazy love for cards, and for helping me find the patience and motivation I needed to take the next step in my own artistic feats.

    My Entry: http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a83/acorntree/anaconda_fixed.jpg

Here’s to the crazy ones who inspire…and the crazy ones who are inspired!
Here’s to the ones who dare to change the world, their way, one little step at a time.

…and here’s a ‘photo’ of me with the above picture, just for kicks. :)

    Hi everyone,

i really enjoyed this competition and i did things i would never have done such as :

    - taking that huge python on me (I’m sorry that the video part with it is dark but it was at night)

    - eating a tomato (you’ll see)

    - perform for people leaving in the street (unfortunately I lost the footage with them; one of them was mad at me and the other one really wanted to give me money –> cool experience)

    - make silly things in town with people staring at me and calling me “Cartman” Haha

Anyway, i hope you’ll like this video, i’ve tried to stick to the lyrics as much as possible, sometimes LITERALLY…

  85. Brent "N5omniac" Bass says:

I’m a little bit confused now. Your requirements state “You’ll stand a chance to win as long as your video brings across the same message as the 1997/2007 “Think Different” videos. You see, this event isn’t just about “The World’s Longest Dribble”. It’s about a message.

It’s a message to be “crazy” and to accomplish all that you wish to…because you can.

It’s a message to “Think Different.””

So I went from there. I didn’t have a camera handy but DID have some old shots of myself I was able to add. I was going for a “Message” (which you guys repeat in the requirements several times) for those/or myself who Thought different and achieved greatness. Which also seemed to be the thesis of your “Death to Noobs” literature. But after reading the 100s of comments, the requirements seemed to have gone from a “message” to just make something crazy with cards..so we may seem to be one of the crazy ones. Now i feel like my video will be garbage, and I have a better chance if i recorded myself trying to play solitaire in a straight jacket……btw…..i just copyrighted that, u cant use it, lol. But seriously, are we looking for a “Message” or just some crazy entertaining user submitted videos?

Answers to the questions – My name’s Ronald and i’m Chinese.I heard about Bone Ho from a springing tutorial on youtube. A few people were discussing about a guy named Bone Ho and his reallllyyyy long dribble called ‘Anaconda’
As for The Virts, i was looking for a new cut to learn on youtube and i happened to stumble upon Kevin Ho’s account.

I wanna learn the Anaconda dribble because it’s one of those things that can show you what obvious ideas combined with skill can create. And for the Eye cut, it’s a really beautiful cut. The cut is as if you could use it with or without any flashy moves, since it looks like the cut itself is all about swiftness and it looks simple yet brilliant at first glance.

About the pic – I tried to create a type of water wheel effect with a sort of variation between a waterfall and a spring. And, i thought, ‘hmm…..never seen cards in water before….sounds retarted…’ but i still tried. My deck is completey murdered now…. xD. I would make the pic alot better, but, unfortunately, i suck terribly at editing…=)

P.S. – I would’ve done something alot bigger, but brand name cards are hard to find here, since poker is banned…=/
    P.P.S. – Roland’s sfx skills are awesome !

  105. David Misner says:

For all the people asking about the deadline, I talked to Huron and he said that entries could be submitted on the 14th as well, so you guys have plenty of time.

  106. Tiny says:

    http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a349/Dragunzyphyr/DSCN0612.jpg

In all technicalities, there was no countdown and it’s only 9AM August 14th here.

    • Tiny says:

That was an insanely slow upload. But, here’s the video that goes along with the project and it has my answers to the questions in the requirements.

Apologies for the lack of sound and the use of subtitles instead. Apparently, my capturing equipment refused to capture audio.

Description has all the details about the 4 foot T-Rex named Scotch that I built.

Hi, due to technical problems me and my friend couldnt capture the footage in time, so I had to spent this whole night editing and I hope it is not to late though its 5 am at my place while Im writing this, otherwise all the effort we put into filming and editing would have been for nothing, or not really because it was a great experience but it would be nice if I’d had a chance to win these awesome prizes. Unfortunately I cant post the link right now because the video is still rendering and I’m starting to upload it soon but in half an hour I will start my trip to austria. So please check out my Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/Groimy92 and watch the video then. Thanks!

    WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!!! :D
    Here’s my submission. :D
    I’m an XCM-influenced cardist.
I try to portray a different aspect of card manipulating. I believe the art …….has just begun. A different aspect of the 52-card deck can lead new concepts and when you utilize basic moves….you can create spectuacular moves, just take a look at the Anaconda. Many cardists have the misconception that cardistry is just a hobby but it is a solid art, and just like any other art we can work to perfect the art and I think the future of Cardistry/XCM/Flourishing relies on our Cardistry/XCM/Flourishing communities to settle apart our differences and become allies and friends. Only in this way, can we collaborate and make the art live to its true max and potential. Bone Ho and Virtuoso have been such a great inspiration to me since I started cardistry, they bring new ideas and a special feeling to all of their videos

Oh…..I just noticed… I hope you guys will accept the video even though its 37 minutes past deadline, I had technical difficulties and it takes the video an hour and a half to be uploaded to youtube and then my computer went hay wire two times so I wasted about 2 hours of uploading time and I started uploading it the 3rd time around 10-11. Right now its morning in Taiwan. Sorry for being late, hope you guys will accept the video. :D

    • Augustus says:

Actually I got my time diferences confused so I’m 12 hours and 37 minutes late. Sorry for taking up this many posts.

  120. Kevin Damaso says:

    Hey guys.

My name’s Kevin Damaso, and I live in California. It is now 9:38 PM on Friday, August 14, 2009 as I type this. The last two days have been truly exciting, and a great experience for me–both personally and artistically. I was pushed in terms of character, with regards to quieting the voice in my head saying that I won’t be good enough, that I won’t make it in time, and that it ultimately isn’t relevant to me whether or not I entered. I had to make a firm decision and stand on the idea that I will enter–because I can and because it is in my heart to do so. I didn’t want to be the card that wondered what if. And I was pushed in learning how to see through a lens, the filters of what needs to be included in what my audience would see, and what I wanted to express.

I want to say so much…but I know it’s not what’s needed at the moment.

I learned about The Virts through their re-introduction video, and my first forage into cardistry is actually thanks to Daren’s Jigsaw. I watched that video countless times man. Bone was something different. Although I fell in love with The Eye Cut much earlier, I heard nothing of The Anaconda until “Cute Photos with accompanying PDF” came out. Oh my the respect that we all owe to that man.

I’m here to learn these iconoclastic ideas for all the plethora of reasons named previously. There is however, one thing which, not just The Anaconda, The Eye Cut, The Angel Display, and all of that man’s body of work, but also The Virts’ work, and Roland’s music, and all of the blood, sweat, tears, hopes, dreams, desires and destinies being realized put into this project, show. And that is the infinite. Because what happened here, what they’ve done and gonn’ made laddies and lasses, is something that we’ll all be proud to have been witness to. They took ideas, those brief glimpses of magnificence inside of your head (that most times you let slip), and they ran with it and spent the time and effort to get to know it better and learn what it was trying to say. They didn’t stop at “I wonder what it would be like to make the dribble longer.” They didn’t stop at “I’ve got a 60cm dribble.” And although right now, we’re at “The Anaconda:The World’s Largest Dribble” I sure as hell know they’re not stopping there.

…Forgive me. I do tend to get carried away–sometimes.

No matter what happens, thank you guys. Really, all of you. I mean it. Because right now I am flying high off of the thrill having made something, and of being inspired, and my blood is boiling, waiting to unleash its energy onto the next vision that’ll come my way.

    Ever Yours,
    –K
